CVG asked Infinity Ward for their thoughts on fans objecting to the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC, and the developer had a very simple response: “[It’s] definitely a worthwhile investment.

Well-known community manager for Infinity Ward, Robert Bowling, had this to add to any fans who are trepidatious about buying the $15 map pack:

It can certainly be said that anybody playing the game on Xbox LIVE will be getting their money’s worth within the first few months. Certainly if someone were to invest the money for the map pack,  they would likely agree with Bowling’s opinion. In the end, it will be up to each individual to make the decision to purchase the maps or not. Honestly, I’m starting to lean in the direction of buying the maps, if only for new areas to play once, and then vote to “skip” after I find out I’m not that great on them.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that these maps packs and the five maps are definitely worth the investment. Anybody who buys them and then plays Modern Warfare 2 online is going to get their money’s worth out of these maps.”

“I mean, [we’re offering] five new locations to Modern Warfare 2, three of those brand new to the series and each of them offers their own unique kind of gameplay so no matter what kind of play style you are you’re going to get something out of these maps.”

Those of you who are going to opt to purchase them, let us here at Game Rant know how they are.

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC will be incoming on March 30, 2010, exclusively for Xbox 360.
