Infinity Ward has provided the MW2 community with a preview of what’s to come with their latest blog post. The developer’s announcement details the updates and improvements they plan on making to the game once Season 2 arrives.
One of the most significant changes that it set to take place with the game’s sophomore season is the return of the 1v1 Gulag to Warzone 2. The player base had often complained about the revamped 2v2 mechanic due to its unpredictability. With the return of the favored feature, users will finally be able to have more control over the outcome of their match.
Other significant changes to the battle royale include the reinstatement of multiple beloved Warzone 1 elements, such as improved loadout options, more lootable cash, lowered buy station prices. A large number of players had been begging for the return of these mechanics and Infinity Ward has finally decided to answer their pleas.
Important updates will also be made to the game’s popular DMZ extraction mode with the most prominent one being the nerfs made to the notorious AI within. Other aspects that were revamped include mission difficulty tuning, spawn point improvements, and added missions.
Last but not least, slight enhancements have also been prepared for MW2’s multiplayer mode. Audio updates, perk and weapon balancing, and a refreshed playlist, which includes Ranked Play and Hardcore Mode, is set to arrive with the new season. Unfortunately, fans aren’t exactly happy with these MP changes as they had initially been expecting more from Infinity Ward.
More information is set to be provided by the developers as Season 2 draws nearer as they have also teased more possible details regarding the return of the Resurgence map.
