Fighting games don’t get much better than Injustice. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, it is a game set in the DC Universe where a large swathe of both heroes and villains take sides and go against each other. It has one of the most interesting stories ever told in a fighting game, with Superman going dark after an incident with the Joker and forcing other characters to either join him or rebel against him.

Injustice also has some of the best gameplay in a fighting game. Unlike hardcore fighting games like Street Fighter, newcomers can easily learn the mechanics and, with time, start to master each character.

With the massive roster available in both Injustice games, gamers have played as many of their favorite comic book characters. However, with the sheer amount of characters in the comics, there is still plenty of room for NetherRealm to add other comic book characters. Below are the ones we want to see joining the superhero war.

10 Mera

Mera is a superhero, the wife of Aquaman and the Queen of Atlantis. While Aquaman gets all the popularity, Mera is almost as powerful. Her abilities are similar to Aquaman’s, and in addition, she can also form hard-water objects, which lets her create an endless variety of weapons as long as she’s near a water source.

Mera would be a great addition to the next Injustice because her abilities, while similar to her husband’s, have more variety. Allowing players to use weapons crafted from water would be a neat touch, so she wouldn’t just be a carbon copy of Aquaman.

9 Ra’s Al Ghul

Ra’s Al Ghul has been mentioned in the Injustice games, and he was even in the tie-in comic books, but he is yet to feature. The leader of the League of Shadows, Ra’s has used the Lazarus Pits to become nearly immortal.

Ra’s would be a great addition to the next Injustice game. His Lazarus Enhancement can affect his health or regeneration in the game, forcing other players to think of ways to counter him. He is also a master swordsman, a master martial artist with experience in over 100 fighting styles, a weapons master and more.

8 Two-Face

Two-Face is one of Batman’s longest-running enemies. He is a supervillain with an obsession for duality, and he believes that chance rules everything. He is highly unpredictable since all of his actions, whether good or evil, are determined by a flip of his double-sided coin.

The next Injustice game needs someone with the unpredictability of Two-Face. He would also fit in because he already appeared in the first Injustice game, although as a cameo only. He can also get something like the Superman pill and get abilities that mirror those of the Man of Steel.

7 Penguin

Penguin is one of the most iconic villains to face Batman. He has been part of the comic books since 1941, and he has featured in various films, TV shows, and animations. So, if anything, it’s a wonder that Oswald Cobblepot has not been featured yet in the games.

He might be short, and people might know him more for being a criminal mastermind than for actually being able to kick butt. But Penguin can hold his own. He is adept at bare-knuckle boxing and judo, and his umbrella can be modified to be a shield or a weapon.

6 Superman Bizarro

Bizarro is an imperfect Superman doppelganger who is not as smart or as altruistic as the Man of Steel but is just as strong. His abilities are mainly the reverse of what Superman can do, like using flame breath and freeze vision. He has also been one of Superman’s enemies since his introduction; after all, Superman can’t reason with him.

He can be a fun addition to the next Injustice because he might act as the new villain, or can even be an antihero. Either way, Superman Bizarro is not one to be underestimated.

5 John Constantine

John Constantine is an antihero who acts as a warlock, a detective of the occult and even a con man.

Constantine might not be a fierce fighter like other characters in the DC universe. However, he more than makes up for that by being an excellent mage. His magic is mostly defensive: he can reflect damage back at opponents, increase his luck and block attacks. He can also use several magical artifacts to deal damage to his opponents. With his abilities and his general trickery, he can be a versatile addition to the next Injustice game.

4 Katana

Katana is a warrior who is skilled enough as a samurai to become a superhero and fight for justice. And she’s not just a great swordsman; she is also a master in unskilled combat. She wields the Soultaker sword; a sword that can absorb the souls of the lives it takes. And Katana can even communicate with those souls.

Both Injustice games have fighters who are good with a sword. However, the next entry in the series needs someone like Katana, who has mastered the sword to the point where it can be considered a superpower.

3 Booster Gold

Booster Gold is a superhero who comes from the future and uses his knowledge of past incidents to stage high-publicity heroics. He was not born with superpowers, though. He gets his powers from equipment he stole in his present from the Metropolis Space Museum. The equipment includes gauntlets that shoot a powerful blast of energy, vision-augmenting goggles, a ring that allows him to fly, and a Power Suit that makes him almost invincible.

Booster Gold is a character with a humorous attitude that can provide some relief from the levity of Injustice. His powers can also make him a fun new character to play.

2 The Batman Who Laughs

The Injustice storyline is no stranger to parallel dimensions, so a great addition to the next game would be The Batman Who Laughs. He is the evil version of Batman, from another part of the multiverse. He is a hybrid of both Batman and Joker—two characters who couldn’t be more dissimilar—and is one of the Dark Knights.

The Batman Who Laughs has the best of Bruce Wayne/Batman and the worst tendencies of Joker, so he can bring something different to Injustice. His fighting ability might be precise, but he could also be cruel and ultraviolent.

1 Larfleeze

The Injustice games have included various lanterns, from the Red Lantern’s Atrocitus to the Green Lantern’s Hal Jordan. For the next game, they should look at a character like Larfleeze, also known as Agent Orange. This is an Orange Lantern, and the main wielder of the orange light of avarice.

Larfleeze always carries his power battery with him, and this gives him an edge over the other Lanterns. For them, use of the ring is limited and they have to recharge their rings. But since Larfleeze always has his power battery, he can wield his ring’s powers indefinitely.
