With the launch of the iPad to the public, people are starting to view it as another mobile gaming platform. Luckily, when the device launched, there have been games that launched with it and they are games that have definitely proved their popularity on home consoles. Geometry Wars: Touch, World at War: Zombies, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 are all available for download for your iPad (or iPhones and iTouch). The graphical and processing capabilities of the iPad are a bit better than what you may find on its smaller cousins giving you a more fluid gaming experience on the go.

All games are available for download now through iTunes.

Geometry Wars: Touch ($9.99) will include the gameplay modes Deadline, King, Evolved, Pacifism, Waves, Sequence, and an iPad exclusive mode called, “Titans!”

World at War: Zombies ($14.99) will feature the “Nacht Der Untoten” and “Verrückt” maps and will satiate your tap-tap-tap to kill zombies needs.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 ($9.99) features the same great skating action you remember on the original Playstation, but why talk about it when you can check out this trailer and see the game in action:

I’m still not really sold on the iPad or any other of its iterations as a gaming platform. I understand that having games on a device such as that act great as a time killer, but I can’t really see them providing an experience better than a Nintendo DS. That’s just my own opinion though, what’s yours?
