F1 22 disappointed its fanbase, and rightly so, when it was announced that crossplay would be available across the entire spectrum—PC with PlayStation, PlayStation with Xbox, and so on. However, that wasn’t the case and players have been left waiting for full crossplay capabilities, if it ever comes. Now that the game has been out for some time, have things changed? Is F1 22 crossplay now?

F1 22 Crossplay Explained

Yes, F1 22 does in fact have crossplay features. Crossplay is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC (on Steam, Origin, and EA Play).

You’ll be able to jump into F1 22 on any platform you want and you’ll still get to mix and match with players from any of the platforms the game is available on. To enable crossplay in F1 22, you can do so from the Settings menu in Game Options, although Xbox owners will have to enable it from their account settings.

While F1 22 does have crossplay with any platform, do be aware that it’s limited to Social Play and Two Player Career. When creating a quick race, public, private lobby, or 2-player career, you can invite friends from other platforms to join.

There you have it: F11 has crossplay now, a feature that should be welcomed with open arms. However, if you want to avoid crossplay, disabling it will limit the playerbase to just the platform you’re on.
