Ghostwire Tokyo has just been released, bringing a spooky, spiritual trip around the capital of Japan to our screens. Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks, many people are likely wondering whether Ghostwire Tokyo is coming to Xbox Game Pass, following the announcement last year that Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax Studios, had been acquired by Microsoft.
Is Ghostwire Tokyo on Xbox Game Pass?
At the time of writing, no, Ghostwire Tokyo is not on Xbox Game Pass, or Game Pass for PC.
This is as a result of a timed-exclusivity deal that Tango Gameworks and Bethesda had in place with Sony PlayStation prior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenimax Studios last year.
Of course, when Ghostwire Tokyo’s timed-exclusivity period is up, it’s a pretty safe bet that the game will release immediately on Xbox consoles, and will be added to the Game Pass subscription service’s library of titles on both Xbox and PC platforms.
Ghostwire Tokyo Game Pass Release Date
It’s currently unknown exactly how long the timed-exclusivity period for Ghostwire Tokyo on PlayStation and PC platforms will run for.
Based on previous, similar timed-exclusivity deals, however, it’s likely that we’ll be waiting around a year from the game’s release date before it’ll come to Xbox platforms, and Game Pass as a part of that.
Once we know for sure, we’ll update this post and let you know.
