Hi-Fi Rush, a surprising title from the makers of The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo, has taken the gaming world by storm. Its brilliant aesthetics and easy-to-grasp, rhythm-based gameplay have made it widely popular with a large number of players.

Since the game had initially been announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Developer Direct showcase, it was predictably made available for both Xbox and PC systems. PlayStation users, on the other hand, were left wondering as to whether or not the colorful creation from Tango Gameworks was made available on their preferred console.Fortunately, we’re here to clear up the confusion dealt by the game’s reveal.

Can Hi-Fi Rush be played on PlayStation?

Unfortunately, Hi-Fi Rush is an Xbox and PC exclusive, which means that there are no plans to release it on PlayStation systems at the time of writing. However, you will still be able to play the game through a mobile device using the Cloud Gaming feature found on Game Pass Ultimate.

Those looking to play will only be able to do so on the previously mentioned platforms. However, its current omission from the PlayStation catalog doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t be included in the future. Previous Tango Gameworks titles had been available on both Sony and Microsoft systems so its arrival on the PS4 and PS5 will hopefully be announced at some point.

Viewers that were able to watch the Xbox Developer showcase may also remember the surprising nature of Hi-Fi Rush’s release. Following its reveal, the developers immediately stated that the game would become available a few hours after the livestream ended. Fans were naturally bewildered at the game’s launch method. Based on current player reviews, however, it seems that the devs release plan worked to perfection.
