Modern Warfare 2 Influence

Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to the 2019 ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ edition of the franchise.

The new game is a continuation of what fans got to experience three years ago through Modern Warfare, featuring a new campaign, multiplayer experience, and all-new improvements to the gameplay.

But what’s special about this interconnected link that Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare share, is that of the correlating battle royale modes each have, known to fans as the Warzone.

To clarify, Warzone first debuted in Modern Warfare nearly three years ago in March, 2020. Warzone 2.0, a completely new version of the free battle royale game mode with a brand new map known as ‘Al Mazrah’, will debut in Modern Warfare 2 on November 16th.

Along with the map, the new Battle Pass will also play an interlinking role within Modern Warfare 2 and will launch the same day Warzone 2.0 comes out.

In addition, ‘Call of Duty Next’ highlighted prior to Modern Warfare 2’s launch that the Warzone map of Verdansk did play an influential factor with what Al Mazrah will be in Warzone 2.0, which is only fitting after all.
