The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is about to kick off Weekend Two which will see both Xbox and PC players able to experience the game for the first time.

The good news is that those on PlayStation will also get more time to play the game – even those who have not pre-ordered the game. Prior to taking part, PS players will have to install the latest update recently released by Activision.

For more details about the Modern Warfare 2 beta, you can get everything you need to know right here – including when it ends.

Is the Mw2 beta crossplay?

Yes, the MW2 beta will support cross play from September 22 when it goes live on PC and Xbox. This will allow PlayStation owners to play with both PC and Xbox gamers.

The beta will close for everyone on Monday, September 26 at 6pm UK time/10am PT. Then, it’s just a case of waiting for the game to launch proper one month later.

When the full game launches, it’ll be very easy to get friends from other platforms to play along with you.

If it’s anything like the previous game, you’ll simply need to head to the “add friends” option and then search for your buddy’s PSN ID, Xbox Live Gamertag, Activision ID or BattleTag.

When they accept, they’ll appear on the social tab.

For those playing on PC, make sure your minimum specs are up to date for the Modern Warfare 2 beta – we have them all detailed here.
