Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s beta has kicked off, and with the game approaching it’s second weekend – fans are eager to question if the MW2 Beta is still open.
The second weekend of Modern Warfare 2 will allow all platforms to play together, finally having complete cross play compatibility.
Is the MW2 beta still open?
Yes. PlayStation Users can play the open beta now, regardless of if they have a pre-order of the game or a code. In fact, all they need is their console and they can download the beta from the PlayStation Store.
Xbox and PC users, meanwhile, kicked off their early access period yesterday evening. That means those who have a pre order, or an early access code, can download the beta and get playing.
Everyone else meanwhile doesn’t have to wait too much longer. The open beta gates will welcome all players, including Xbox and PC from Saturday, 24 September at 6pm or 10am PT.
From that point, there’ll be no code required – you’ll just need the bandwidth, free space on your drive (and as long as your system meets the requirements on PC) and you’ll be welcomed with open arms. (Or at least, heavy gunfire.)
The Modern Warfare 2 beta runs until Monday, September 26, when the servers will close at 6pm BST or 10am PT.
