Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the upcoming action-RPG game that will revolve around the events of Dragon Ball Z. As of the moment, neither publisher Bandai Namco nor developer CyberConnect 2 have announced a release date, apart from a release window of early 2020.

Meanwhile, Bandai Namco has previously shared tons of information about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot over the last several months. The publisher confirmed that while the game will mostly revolve around Goku, other Dragon Ball characters such as Piccolo, Gohan, and Vegeta, will all be playable characters in the upcoming game. It is unclear how extensive their roles will be, but Bandai Namco said that the spotlight would shift to the other playable characters at some point in the game, to flesh out their stories.

While the game’s story is officially confirmed to reach the Cell Saga, the game’s English voice actor, Sean Schemmel, revealed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would reach the Buu Saga. Of course, given his involvement in the creation of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, it is unlikely that the actor would spread false information about the upcoming game. While it’s likely to be true, it is worth remembering that Bandai Namco still hasn’t confirmed the information shared by the voice actor.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot launches in early 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
