Developed by Stunlock Studios, V Rising is a new vampire-themed MMORPG that’s just been released via Steam early access. The game is centered around hunting down foes for their blood essence, and it also features core PvP elements where you can battle other players to try to steal their loot. That said, if you’re wondering whether V Rising is a single-player game, here’s what you need to know.

Is V Rising Single-Player?

In short, no, V Rising is not a single-player game. It does not feature an offline mode or a solo campaign that you can play through alone.

At the time of writing, you have to be online in order to play the game, though you can opt out of PvP elements entirely by choosing to join public PvE servers. However, if you want to just experience the game alone and learn its mechanics on your own before joining other servers, you can do so as well.

When you boot up the game, simply start a new file and choose the option to host a private server. You can lock the server and only invite your friends if you’d like, or just play on your own until you’re ready to mingle with other players. You still need an internet connection on a private server, and this is the closest you’ll be able to get to a single-player experience in this game.

Considering that V Rising is still in early access, it’s possible that we could see a solo campaign in the future. However, with a huge focus on PvP elements for now, we won’t expect to see that kind of content anytime soon.

That’s all you need to know about whether V Rising is a single-player game. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
