As we like to say, Verdansk is constantly changing. That is especially true when it comes to the latest denizens to join Call of Duty: Warzone. The undead landed by boat on the southeast coast of the map recently and have unsurprisingly spread to a new area. The prison is the latest site to host the undead, but it’s surely not going to be the last.
Perhaps the most alarming thing about this discovery is that Armistice Central Command is playing dumb to it all. The latest post on the Call of Duty blog acknowledged the existence of “withered, cadaverous” anomalies, but urged operatives to remain focused on the mission. Someone be sure to give that individual a medal when this is all said and done.
We know, but we don’t really know
The slow, but insidious invasion of zombies into Warzone is certainly entertaining to watch. Those who don’t keep up with all of the daily news will certainly be in for a treat when they stumble upon the prison now. Or perhaps more accurately, they will be surprised by what stumbles out.
This isn’t much of a shock for those familiar with the various clues left by Activision, though. Even less so if aware of the recently leaked audio files for a mysterious doomsday scenario.
Aside from all of this, we’ve been expecting the Verdansk map to explode for a long time. The arrival of zombies in Call of Duty: Warzone and the recently opened missile silo certainly suggests as much.
While we can’t guarantee all of this will happen, a zombie apocalypses certainly seems like a good excuse to use nuclear weapons. You better go visit those zombies now if you’re looking for a good thrill. Things are likely about to change drastically in Call of Duty: Warzone. The leaks suggest these events will pave the way for a bunch of new content and features though.
Attention #Warzone Operatives ⚠️
Extreme caution is advised in the southeastern zone of Verdansk.
