Izanagi’s Burden is back to being unattainable despite this week’s most recent fix.

Destiny 2 players are still having a hell of a time trying to get Izanagi’s Burden. Considered one of the most powerful exotic sniper rifles in the game, if not THE most powerful, Izanagi’s Burden was already a struggle to obtain even with the quest working as intended. Multiple quest steps, obtuse directions, and difficult encounters meant that only the best of the best could get their hands on Izanagi’s Burden.

However, with the introduction of Shadowkeep, players began noticing that the Burden’s quest was now impossible to complete. The forges were initially rife with bugs causing crashes for multiple players, but even without the game crashing players found that they couldn’t advance the Mysterious Box quest in order to obtain Izanagi’s Burden.

Bungie was supposed to have fixed that issue with last Tuesday’s patch. And they have, but players are now reporting two new bugs have taken the original bug’s place.

The first is preventing progress by failing to give players credit when they redeem forge keys. The other prevents players from getting progress for the Obsidian Crystal received from rare Black Armory bounties.

Players on the Destiny subreddit have been complaining about the bugs for the past few days, and it was apparently enough to get Bungie to investigate. They’re looking into it, but there’s no word on when they’ll be issuing a fix according to the most recent Destiny news update.

Meanwhile, the Festival of the Lost continues with unique rewards available for players. This week also saw the introduction of the Altar of Sorrows event, which we’ll have a guide for shortly. There’s also the new Pit of Heresy dungeon and a few new Legendary weapons to obtain from doing with the dungeon or event.

Some good news for Destiny 2 players: Bungie has heard complaints about Pinnacle Gear and will be adjusting the tier to provide +2 to your power level instead of just +1. This will cut the grind in half and make achieving 960 base power level a possibility rather than an unachievable goal.

The Iron Banner returns next week to help out with another batch of Pinnacle Reward bounties to get people started.
