Jack Reacher TV Series Cast
Lee Child warned fans that Jack Reacher was heading for television, and not another movie, in 2018.
“Cruise, for all his talent, didn’t have that physicality,” the author told BBC News. “So what I’ve decided to do is – there won’t be any more movies with Tom Cruise. Instead, we’re going to take it to Netflix or something like that. Long-form streaming television, with a completely new actor. And I want all those readers who were upset about Tom Cruise to help me out – participate in choosing the right actor for the TV series. We’re rebooting and starting over and we’re going to try and find the perfect guy.”
The “perfect guy” will now be sought to fill Cruise’s well-stacked shoes for the forthcoming Jack Reacher series. Cruise starred as the retired US Army major in two films in 2012 and 2016, with both making a reasonable – if not earth-shattering – chunk of change at the box office.

The first season of Jack Reacher will, appropriately enough, be based on the first Jack Reacher novel, The Killing Floor.
