Super Smash Bros. fans have waited a long time for Banjo-Kazooie to arrive in the series and it seems that the wait might be over soon, as a new advertisement in Japan is suggesting that the bear and bird duo will be available to download within the next two weeks.
Banjo-Kazooie will be the 3rd character to be made available as part of the Fighters Pass in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and they will be the 4th DLC character added to the game overall. The reveal trailer for Banjo-Kazooie was released as part of E3 2019, but the only release date that was given was fall 2019.
It seems that autumn might be coming a bit early this year, as PushDustin is reporting on Twitter that an advert promoting Banjo-Kazooie’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is appearing in 7-11 stores in Japan. The advert is due to stay up until September 15. The last time a similar advert was put up was for Hero, which happened just before his release.
The Banjo-Kazooie trailer that was shown at E3 2019 included gameplay footage, which suggested to a lot of fans that he might be available soon. Hero was released on July 30, which means that Masahiro Sakurai and his team are blitzing through their DLC character backlog, especially if the leaks concerning the 4th Fighters Pass character are legit and they are ready to be announced soon.
