The Devil May Cry series has trickled onto the Nintendo Switch, with the first two games releasing earlier this year and Devil May Cry 3 coming to Switch in 2020. While the games can only be purchased individually at the moment, the Devil May Cry Triple Pack is heading to Japan next year around the release of Devil May Cry 3.

Capcom’s Japan website provides a bit more information about the currently-exclusive Devil May Cry Triple Pack. The regular version of the trilogy pack will cost ¥4,990, which translates to roughly $45.73 in USD, while the Limited Edition will cost ¥8,990, which translates to 82.39 in USD. The Limited Edition comes with a set of glasses and coasters, each with Dante and Vergil’s preferred armaments.

The Japanese pack’s version of Devil May Cry comes on a physical Nintendo Switch game, card while Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3 come with download codes. Devil May Cry 2 requires 1.78 GB of free download space and Devil May Cry 3 requires 5.05 GB of free download space.

Currently, the game is scheduled for release in Japan on February 20th, 2020. Interestingly, this is the same day that Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition releases on the Nintendo Switch in other regions as well.

Here’s the Japanese trailer for the game.

To the tune of Devil May Cry’s soundtrack, the trailer shows bits of gameplay from each of the three games, two of which are considered all-time classics by fans and critics alike. Indeed, the original Devil May Cry established the series as a wacky hack-and-slash with stylish action, comedic moments, and blistering difficulty. As well, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition improved immensely on the formula, upping the difficulty level while providing witty dialogue and great presentation.

Overall, the pack is quite a steal and full of worthwhile content. It’s unknown if the three games will ever get a triple pack in other regions, but if they do, the price will likely be adjusted from their direct conversion mentioned before. The games are just as beloved by western audiences as they are by eastern ones, so the likelihood they will receive a similar treatment is pretty high.
