Square Enix has released ‘The Wingsuit Experience’, a companion app that offers players a 360 degree flythrough of Just Cause 3’s island.

Available to download today on iPhone, iPad and Android devices, the free app follows lead character Rico Rodriguez on a skydive across Medici, using the devices’ gyrometer to let players look around the island in full 360 degrees.

It also includes support for a VR mode which, when used with Google Cardboard or other VR goggles, lets players tilt the camera with their head.

“In order to show the world of Just Cause 3 in 360-degrees, in-game, we’ve captured over 10 TB of high resolution data to bring you this experience,” said Ron Bakker, founder of Mindlight, the developer of the Wingsuit Experience. “This will allow you to immerse yourself in the most explosive sandbox ever made, ahead of the game’s release this December.”

You may need to clear some space on your phone if you want to give it a go, though, with the iOS version of the app coming in at 637MB.

Just Cause 3 launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on December 8.
