Just Cause 4 has officially hit gold status, meaning development on the explosive open-world sequel is now complete.

Developer Avalanche Studios confirmed the news in a post on the game’s official Twitter overnight. Going gold is obviously a big milestone, as it means there shouldn’t be any more delays between now and the game’s launch in early December.

Just Cause 4 is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on December 4, and reunites players with series protagonist and lover of making things go boom, Rico Rodriguez. The game takes place in a fictional South American country named Solis, and sees Rico battling against the Black Hand, a nefarious paramilitary group.

We weren’t all that blown away by Just Cause 3, so let’s hope Rico is packing some new tricks up his sleeves this time.
