The first details on the Justice League movie have been confirmed by Warner, including a synopsis, logo and image of the new Batmobile.

There may be some minor Batman v Superman spoilers ahead. You have been warned.

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy,” reads the synopsis. “Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes – it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

In addition to stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J. K. Simmons and Willem Dafoe will also feature in lead roles.

Shooting for the film began in April, with Zack Snyder in charge for a planned November 17, 2017 release date. A Part Two movie was also announced for June 14, 2019, though it now appears the movies will no longer be billed as a double.

Deborah Snyder told Slash Film: “We’re only ever planning and we are only doing Justice League, just Justice League. One movie.”

Presumably the studio will have a second Justice League film for the 2019 slot, just not billed as Part Two.

Along with the new plot info, the film’s logo and a look at the new Batmobile were revealed on Twitter.
