Square Enix has released a new trailer for its upcoming RPG, Lost Sphear, which is coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC on January 23, 2018. Lost Sphear is the second game from Tokyo RPG Factory, the developers behind I Am Setsuna, and this trailer gives us a look at some of the locations the player will visit, and enemies they’ll battle as they try and restore the world’s lost memories.

Players take on the role of Kanata, a young man who wakes from a nightmare to find that his home no longer exists. Kanata has been chosen by destiny to face a devastating phenomenon which is causing towns to disappear, threatening the world’s very existence. After meeting up with Kanata’s friends (Lumina, Lock, Van, Sherra and Obaro), players set out to seek a way to reawaken the power of Memory to restore what has been Lost, and rebuild the world. Kanata and his companions will travel all across the world, passing through idyllic countryside towns, and mysterious dungeons, as they encounter a range of strange beasts and enemies.

The game will be released digitally on the PS4, Switch and PC with physical PS4 and Switch versions available exclusively on the Square Enix Online Store. Those who pre-order the game from the Square Enix Online Store will also get two exclusive music tracks.

Lost Sphear will be released for the PS4, Switch and PC on January 23, 2018.
