Goichi Suda’s cerebral shoot-’em-up Killer7 is getting overhauled for PC later this year, developer Grasshopper Manufacture has announced.
Chatting with Game Informer following a panel at MomoCon 2018 over the weekend, the developer revealed that Killer7’s Steam revamp won’t be a full remake, but rather, a ‘graphical refresh.’
Apparently, the original game’s character models and colours adapt fine to modern resolutions, while in terms of controls, players will be able to take aim at the Heaven’s Smiles using their mouse for pinpoint accuracy.
Right now it’s not known if the Killer7 remaster will be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but we can’t see any reason why not. After all, the original version was a console title, having launched for GameCube and PlayStation 2 back in 2005.
The timing of the announcement is pretty on point; Suda51’s most recent game, Let it Die, recently ran a Killer7 crossver event for players.
