More Kinect games are coming. Microsoft has said that the Kinect game library will triple by the end of the year. After launching with 17 games back in November 2010, things are looking to pick back up again in the Kinect-game front. This is good news, given that the Kinect has certainly sold well, more new games will only help get the device into more gamers’ homes.

A lot of these games will be shown at E3 next month, but whether these games will be targeted a little more towards the core gamer remains to be seen. While a few core-gamer Kinect games are likely in the works, E3 gets a lot of mainstream press coverage too and it could be a good place for Microsoft to showcase the new games families might want to check out on Kinect. That would definitely help them get the device into more homes the back half of this year.

At this point, it is likely safe to expect to see some sequels to Kinect-launch games getting announced at E3. Dance Central did a lot right but much like the leap between Rock Band and Rock Band 2, there is a lot Harmonix could do to make the Dance Central sequel even better. The same thing is true for Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports. They both showed how the device could be used and that it worked, now each franchise can add little more creativity and fun to the various events.

Are you one of the millions of Kinect owners looking for new games for the device? What type of game would you like to see released for Kinect? Do you think a core-game experience could work well on Kinect or do you prefer the more casual-type game? Leave your Kinect game predictions, guesses, and thoughts in the comments below.
