Kingdom Hearts 3 already has a Proud mode to tackle if you fancy upping the game’s difficulty, but it appears there’s something even tougher than that lurking within its Disney-coated innards.

Twitter user Keytotruth (via PST) has been poking around in the game’s files, and uncovered something called Critical mode. As you might have guessed, this makes Kingdom Hearts 3 no cake walk, decreasing both the HP and MP bars while having you soak up double damage.

Other details uncovered include a new healing spell, Curaza, plus a bunch of other keyblades that can be equipped. In regards to the latter however, only Riku’s can actually dish out any damage.

Kingdom Hearts 3 was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the end of January, where it topped the UK charts and went on to ship over five million copies.

So, KH3 DOES have a critical mode internally. Proud and Critical comparison here. pic.twitter.com/wVnIShim79
