Nintendo announced a new Kirby game for the Nintendo Switch, coming out in 2018. Details are scarce on the game at this moment in time, but Kirby will be a return to the side-scrolling platformer for the lovable pink fluff ball.

The brief trailer suggests that the new Kirby on the Nintendo Switch will support co-operative play for up to four players. In addition to Kirby’s ability to swallow enemies and steal their powers, he now has the ability to turn the enemies into allies. These enemies can then be controlled by AI or another player. It all sounds very exciting.

Kirby on the Nintendo Switch will be out in 2018.
