Koei Tecmo has revealed a new trailer for Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon, as well as information on the game’s diverse cast, and demon-ridden world. Nights of Azure 2 will explore the relationships between childhood friends Aluche, Liliana and Ruenheid, who find themselves tangled in an intricate web of fate in a battle against the evil Moon Queen.
Nights of the Azure 2 is a sequel to Gust’s mature-themed action RPG, set in a world that’s still in shock from a great battle between the Nightlord and the Saint. It’s a world where humans are only safe during the day, before demons run amok at night. The heroine of the game, Aluche, dies in a demonic attack whilst escorting her childhood friend to become a sacrifice to the evil Moon Queen. Resurrected as a demi-Demon by the Curia, Aluche joins with Ruenheid to rescue their friend Liliana from the evil Moon Queen. That’s pretty much the gist of it.
The sequel builds on the ‘Lily’ system that’s in the first game, encouraging players to build a strong bond with their companions to unlock new battle abilities. As well as humans, Aluche is able to forge contracts with reliable fiends called Servans. These Servans can be summoned, and each comes with a range of specific skillsets.
As ever, the publishers are super keen for you to pre-order. Pre-orders will receive a special pack that includes three Servans and a special costume for Aluche. If you buy the game digitally on PSN within the first four weeks of launch you get a Custom Theme as well as the bonus DLC from retailers.
Finally there’s a Limited Edition Nintendo Switch version that’ll be available to order from the NIS America Europe Online Store from 12PM on July 20. This includes an art book, posters, a soundtrack CD as well as the DLC. You do you, consumers.
Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon will launch for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC on October 27.
