Hideo Kojima’s development studio Kojima Productions has confirmed it’s working on a brand new project, but has revealed little more information on the project besides that.
The news comes by way of a Twitter post advertising job openings at the studio, which include various roles such as Artist, Writer and Project Manager to name but a few. Of course, there’s very little revealed outside of this little tidbit about what the Death Stranding studio is working on right now, but it’s fun to speculate on what could be next.
Earlier this year, we found out studio head Hideo Kojima had recently gotten one pitch rejected, and also mentioned they’d be interested on working on smaller, episodic games. Death Stranding was recieved fairly well upon release last year, and following the launch of a recent PC version with an improved framerate and ultra-wide monitor support it’s interesting to note a PlayStation 5 upgraded version hasn’t been announced yet.
We do know whatever it is, it likely won’t be a new Metal Gear Solid or P.T. however, with Kojima himself debunking the rumours he’d acquired those properties from Konami during an interview earlier this year.
