Mountains. Hiking. ‘Country Roads’ by John Denver. These are some of the things that come to mind when thinking about West Virginia. The state was formed in 1853 during the Civil War and is also known as the Mountain State. This is due to its natural beauty which is ideal for outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, and skiing. The state produces most of the coal used in the U.S. but a lot of impressive tech companies call it home as well. Today we’re going to explore some of the largest tech companies in West Virginia.
