Gamespot contributors were treated to a demo of the highly anticipated The Last of Us 2 and almost immediately noticed a bizarre easter egg.

While undertaking a mission featuring the protagonist Ellie and her girlfriend Dina, the girls are trapped in a bookstore during a blizzard. From there they discover a room that Eugene, their deceased teammate, had cultivated into a marijuana grow house.

There the pair rummage through an assortment of Eugene’s old possessions, among them a collection of VHS tapes with some less than family-friendly titles. These titles include “Smash Brandi’s Cooch” and “Dong of the Wolf,” both referencing the Crash Bandicoot series and the original The Last of Us.

According to Phil Hornshaw, one of the contributors that played the demo, there was actually someone crazy enough in The Last Of Us universe to create two porno films spoofing (or at least title borrowing) from two notable titles in said universe.

While the first film title is a shoutout to Crash Bandicoot, who now canonically exists in The Last of Us universe, the second title may seem familiar to anyone who’s played the first game. That’s because there are billboards and posters for a film titled “Dawn of the Wolf Part 2” which illustrates a man with wolf-like characteristics embracing a woman. Judging by the way Joel describes the flick, players can safely assume that the film is a Twilight parody - with werewolves instead of sparkling vampires.

In a craptastic world of the zombie apocalypse, this joke is a reprieve from the bloodshed and killing players must commit throughout the game, which now includes slaughtering dogs and NPCs with names. Needless to say, The Last of Us 2 will probably be an emotional whirlwind for empathetic folks who see these AI foes as living, breathing beings.

The Last of Us 2 will be released on February 21, 2020, for PlayStation 4. The game will pick up five years after the events of the original, and will follow Ellie as she doles out revenge after a violent event shatters the peace she had found residing in a survivor community in Wyoming. Those who pre-order the game can purchase special editions of the game, including the Ellie Edition, which includes goodies such as 7" vinyl of the original soundtrack, an art book, and a replica of Ellie’s backpack.
