A new trailer for Shadow Warrior 3 is here, and it sure is bloody. Devolver Digital offered fans a glimpse at one of the upcoming first-person shooter’s levels, called “Doomsday Device.” The level looks epic, but there’s a lot to unpack here — like enemies emerging from each other’s fat rolls. Doomsday Device is just one of many levels to arrive with Shadow Warrior 3 later this year.

The Shadow Warrior 3 level trailer showed the player entering a clifftop arena with guns at the ready. In addition to annihilating monsters from afar, the player executed enemies with their katana. At one point, they ripped a monster’s ice-encrusted eye out and threw it at other enemies to temporarily freeze them. The arena also featured spinning blades that players can trigger with gunshots to crush and absolutely tear apart enemies.

Perhaps the highlight of today’s Shadow Warrior 3 trailer was the new enemy called Gassy Obariyon, a big guy with a little guy living in his tummy rolls. Whatever’s comfortable, I suppose. Players can execute Gassy Obariyon to receive a new gore weapon called Double Trouble.

Shadow Warrior 3‘s Doomsday Device level is fast-paced, intense, and coming soon. Check out the full trailer below.

Gory good fun

For those who are unfamiliar, Shadow Warrior 3 sees series protagonist Lo Wang on another bloody adventure. This time, Lo’s former enemy, Orochi Zilla, joins him as the two search for a dragon they accidentally unleashed on the world. Lo slaughters enemies with various guns, swords, and other weapons, often using the arena’s mechanics to his advantage. Devolver Digital has yet to reveal a release date, but the game should release this year.

In the meantime, we already have a pretty good idea of what to expect, thanks to several Shadow Warrior 3 trailers. Last summer, fans got a whopping 17 minutes of gameplay footage, which featured cutscenes and a glimpse at the game’s new grappling hook. All in all, Shadow Warrior 3 is shaping up to be a crazy adventure.
