It’s League of Legends patch time again! This time around we have some smaller balance changes overall with bigger Wukong nerfs, Kayn buffs, and some changes to Sanguine Blade to hopefully make it more appealing to AD assassins. Now, without further ado, let’s go through the update for League of Legends patch 10.9.
Champion changes in patch 10.9
Bard — Nerf
Bard will have his Caretaker’s Shrine (W) cooldown increased from 12 seconds to 14 seconds. Its movement speed buff will be decreased from 50% to 30%.
Bard’s Magical Journey (E) will have its cooldown increased from 18/17/16/15/14 seconds to 22/20.5/19/17.5/16 seconds.
Cho’Gath — Buff
Cho’Gath will have his Vorpal Spikes (E) base damage increased from 22/34/46/58/70 to 22/37/52/67/82.
Fiddlesticks — Buff
Fiddlesticks will have his Reap (E) base damage increased from 70/100/130/160/190 to 70/105/140/175/210.
Gnar — Buff
Gnar will have his Boulder Toss (Mega Q) refunded cooldown increased from 60% to 70%.
Gnar’s Crunch (Mega E) will have its base damage increased from 50/85/120/155/190 to 80/115/150/185/220.
Karthus — Nerf
Karthus’ base movement speed will be decreased from 335 to 325.
Kayn — Buff
Kayn will have his Reaping Slash’s (Q) cooldown decreased from 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 to 6/5.5/5/4.5/4, with both instances of the ability now dealing an extra 40 bonus physical damage against minions and monsters.
His Blade’s Reach (W) will have its slow increased from 70% to 90%
Lissandra — Buff
Lissandra will have her Ice Shard (Q) cooldown decreased from 10/8.5/7/5.5/4 to 8/7/6/5/4.
Nami — Nerf
Nami’s base mana will be decreased from 377.24 to 365. Her base health is decreased from 489.32 to 475.
Quinn — Buff
Quinn will have her Blinding Assault (Q) blind duration increased from 1.5 seconds to 1.75 seconds.
Trundle — Nerf
Trundle’s ultimate ability, Subjugate (R), will have its cooldown increased from 100/80/60 seconds to 120/100/80 seconds.
Wukong — Nerf
Wukong will have his base armor lowered from 34 to 31.
Crushing Blow (Q) will have its damage decreased from 30/55/80/105/130 to 20/45/70/95/120.
Warrior Trickster (W) will have its clone damage decreased from 40/45//50/55/60% of Wukong’s damage to 35/40/45/50/55% of his damage.
Item changes
Sanguine Blade — Buff
Sanguine Blade will have its total gold cost decreased from 3100 to 3000, with its combine cost lowered from 1100 to 1000.
It will have its granted AD increased from 50 to 55.
Not a big patch overall with the League of Legends 10.9 update, but we’re probably going to see some Kayn in the jungle. Right now it’s patch 10.8 on the live servers, and you can check out the official patch notes for that.
