Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 isn’t short on game modes for you to jump into. From traditional playlists that fans know and love to the introduction of a DMZ mode, there’s something for everyone. While data miners have been hard at work trying to uncover what else the developers have in store, some icons have reportedly been found hiding in the game files. The latest Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 leak suggests that Cranked and Plunder could be the next modes to join the game.

Cranked has appeared in multiple past Call of Duty titles. If you aren’t familiar with the mode, it’s a fast-paced and chaotic form of Team Deathmatch. Once you get your first kill, you have to keep earning more before the 30-second timer runs out. If time does run out, you’ll explode and your streak will end. In Plunder, you’re battling against opponents to secure the most money. Also, in the first iteration of Warzone, fans used Plunder as an effective way to level up weapons.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 leak could point towards Cranked and Plunder

Call of Duty data miner known as BKTOOR shared images of some icons in a recent Twitter post. The icon made up of wrenches is thought to represent the multiplayer mode, Cranked. Players believe that the icons with a dollar sign are indicating that Plunder could make its return in Warzone 2.

The timing of the Modern Warfare 2 Cranked and Warzone 2 Plunder leaks suggests that the modes could be coming sooner rather than later. Of course, without confirmation from Activision, we can’t know for certain what they have planned in terms of future updates. We’ll have to be on the lookout for any official announcements as we get closer to the launch of Season Two which is expected to be around February 1.
