There’s less than a month to go until the Wester launch of Lost Ark. February 11 is the official release date, however, those who purchase one of the Founder’s Packs will gain access to the action MMORPG on February 8. Since we’re so close to beginning our journeys in Arkesia, now is the perfect time to learn more about the Lost Ark story and world.
The short version is that seven pieces of the Ark are scattered across the land. Five hundred years ago, demons invaded Arkesia, and the only thing that stopped them were noble heroes utilizing the power of the Ark. So, it’s up to you to track down all the lost pieces and reassemble the Ark to prevent the demons from wiping out the world.
You can check out all the places you will travel to in the Lost Ark story trailer below. There are loads of distinctive locations, each sporting a unique aesthetic, enemies, and landscape.
A new adventure awaits
Unless you play Final Fantasy XIV, you’re most likely looking around for a new MMORPG to sink your teeth and time into. If you’re interested in Lost Ark but want an overview of the gameplay, combat, and narrative, you can check out my in-depth preview of the closed beta.
