Dontnod has confirmed that Life is Strange 2 – Episode 2: Rules is scheduled for release in January 2019.
Speaking in a blog post, the studio, which also worked on the gothic-flavoured Vampyr, explained that it doesn’t want to rush development of the sequel, hence why we’re having to wait a bit longer than expected for the second episode.
‘We understand that there are certain expectations that episodes will be released at a similar cadence as previous Life is Strange games have. The ambition of Life is Strange 2, however, means that the previous frameworks no longer apply if we are to meet the quality of play and storytelling that our vision for a game like this demands and that you deserve,’ said Dontnod.
The good news is we won’t have to wait too long for more info on Rules. Dontnod has promised that more details on the episode will drop in mid-December, which is only a couple of weeks away.
