Valve has announced a “ground-breaking partnership” with Lionsgate which sees films from the studio available to buy or rent via the Steam client.

At launch more than 100 Lionsgate feature films will be available to Steam customers, including movies from the Hunger Games, Twilight, Saw and Divergent franchises. Most exciting, however, is the availability of cult favourite Leprechaun, which gave Freinds’ star Jennifer Aniston her first movie role alongside a deadly Leprechaun played by Star Wars, Harry Potter and Willow actor Warwick Davis.

Treat yourself to all four films in the Leprechaun franchise for a special launch price of £5.59.

“We’re delighted to partner with Steam, a leader in the digital entertainment and gaming space, as part of our commitment to remain at the cutting edge of innovation in delivering content to online audiences around the world,” said Lionsgate president of Worldwide Television & Digital Distribution Jim Packer. “With over 125 million users, Steam represents a unique, exciting and disruptive opportunity to expand our global distribution business.”

Steam videos can be played on all Steam-supported platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, SteamOS, and in virtual reality via SteamVR.
