LittleBigPlanet 2 has been seemingly confirmed before when an artist tweeted that his song would be appearing in the title, but now we have something a little more legitimate – Media Molecule’s confirming it via a tweet.

Along with the official “announcement” and a confirmation of some solid details on Monday, a user on the NeoGAF forums has posted alleged details of the LittleBigPlanet sequel.

It’s all true! We’re excited to say that we are making LittleBigPlanet 2 - Full mega details on Monday :)

Apparently, the level editor is going to receive a huge overhaul. The new editor is allegedly “not just a tool to create platform games,” but it also “encourages the player to create game types.” This means that you could create racing games, shooters, and RPGs. Heck, an employee at Media Molecule “has created a fully-functioning Command & Conquer clone.” How could you ever create an RPG with no health bar? Well, the brand new customization engine will allow players to customize their HUD, edit the controls, tweak the physics, and even record their own sound effects for use in their levels according to the NeoGAF user.

While all this information remains unconfirmed, I’m sure we will find out what LittleBigPlanet 2 is all about in just a few short days. So stay tuned to Game Rant for news as soon as it becomes available.

What do you want to see happen in LittleBigPlanet 2? Are you excited for the game?
