The London Spitfire have had one of the most eventful and surprising offseasons in all of the Overwatch League. Despite winning the Grand Finals in 2018, the Spitfire had a disappointing 2019 where they were quickly eliminated in the playoffs. Change had to be coming, but the extent of that change came as a shock to many. After essentially getting rid of their entire 2019 roster, the Spitfire finally broke their silence and announced the eight players they will be going with heading into the 2020 season.

Gone are the days of the 2018 London Spitfire championship team. There isn’t a single player left from that roster and the Spitfire will enter 2020 with squad of fresh faces boasting a lot of talent (and potential). Their new roster consists of Dae-Han “JMAC” Choi, Se-won “BERNAR” Shin, Sung-hyeok “Highly” Lee, Yung-hoon “Krillin” Jung, Tae-hoon “Fuze” Kim, Kyu-min “SanGuiNar” Lim, Gil-seong “Glister” Lim and Dong-jae “Schwi” Lee.

The London Spitfire have decided to put the past behind them and continue to push forward heading into the 2020 season of the Overwatch League. Despite losing some of the best players in the world, including Profit and Fury, the Spitfire have built a young team full of potential. While it’s unclear how the Spitfire’s 2020 season will go, there is hope for the future and if some of these players can become stars, London can look forward to some great years ahead.
