With the arrival of the 10th generation Intel Core CPU, Maingear, a mainstay in the custom gaming PC and workstation space, has announced that preorders are now available for machines utilizing the latest processors.

“Gamers or creatives looking for the peak of processing horsepower will be pleased to know that MAINGEAR will support the i9-10900K in any configuration for their stable of gaming desktops and workstations,” the company said in its release.

The new chips will be available on various Maingear products, including the VYBE, F131, R1, RUSH, and others. From a pricing standpoint, PCs utilizing the new Intel offerings will start around $750, depending on the desired custom features. As far as when you’ll get your new PC, Maingear has yet to announce an official launch date.

Next-gen power for everyone

The latest lineup of Intel Core processors features a number of new improvements over the 9th generation chips. To start, each chip will support Thunderbolt™ 3 technology, 4K HDR, and Wi-Fi 6 AX201.

Also with every level of 10th generation Comet Lake CPU, Intel has included its HyperThreading technology. HyperThreading, for those unaware, allows a single processor to act as two separate processes. This allows the chip to run two concurrent streams of instructions at a time, improving overall system performance and power.

Other features of the new Intel CPUs include up to 187 frames per second (fps) while streaming and recording gameplay as well as increased video editing and rendering performance. For those who want to take advantage of the processor’s Intel Turbo Boost Technology, you’ll have to shell out for the higher-priced Core i7 and Core i9 chips.

The full lineup of 10th generation Intel Comet Lake CPU is expected to be available by the end of May for all consumers along with new Intel 400 series chipset motherboards, which are required for Comet Lake.
