Mario Kart Tour is headed to Vancouver later this week and chances are players will be getting some new nature-based characters along with it.

When Mario Kart Tour was released on mobile in 2019, one of its main selling points was that some of its tracks will be based on real-life cities. The game has already taken its millions of players to New York, Tokyo, Paris, and London. However, it has now been a little while since one of the game’s two-week tours was based around an actual city.

Between celebrating various holidays and the cold weather, Nintendo hasn’t had the time to take us to a new city. That all changes this week as the next tour will be revealed at 10 PM PT on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Nintendo has already revealed which location Tour players will be whisked to this time around, the beautiful Canadian city of Vancouver.

We say city, but it sounds as if the Vancouver-based track will be a race around the scenic countryside. One of the tweets from Nintendo revealing the Vancouver Tour reads that players will be able to “experience Vancouver’s majestic nature!” As always, the two new characters have been teased via silhouettes, and players have been guessing who they might be.

The consensus is that the silhouette on the left is Rosalina, and the one on the right is Wario. However, there are differences of opinion on what those two will be wearing since their defaults already exist in-game. Most guesses surrounding Rosalina point to her new persona being an ice skater, whereas the Wario guesses seem split between a camping version of the character or a lumberjack.

The best news of all is players don’t have long to wait to find out the answers. As stated above, the Vancouver Tour will launch at 10 PM this Tuesday. That means any players with limited edition items to unlock on the Valentine’s Tour are running out of time so get to unlocking now. Keep grinding those rubies and pulling that pipe in preparation for the arrival of some sort of new Wario character, we think.
