When starting out in Mario Strikers: Battle League, all that’s unlocked are the five different tournaments in Cup Battles mode. There are no options to crank up the difficulty until you’re able to prove that you can take on the CPUs at the default level. Here’s everything you need to know about how to switch between Normal and Galactic Modes in Mario Strikers: Battle League.

How To Switch Between Normal & Galactic Modes in Mario Strikers Battle League

The way to prove that you’re ready to take on the next difficulty in Galactic Mode is by winning all six cups in Mario Strikers: Battle League’s Cup Battles. The first five cups — Cannon, Chain, Turbo, Muscle, Trick — are unlocked by default, and the sixth is unlocked by winning the five available at the start of the game. Once you’ve won all six cups, Galactic Mode will unlock.

After you watch the credits roll following your Championship Cup victory, you’ll be able to go back to Cup Battles and start playing the higher-difficulty Galactic Mode. In order to switch back and forth between the two modes, just press the X button on the Cup Battles menu.
