Magik has a Legendary Challenge in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. This gets unlocked once you’ve built the Armory and you’ve maxed out her Friendship Level. You can then start a solo encounter that’s more akin to a puzzle, which eventually rewards her Legendary Card. Here’s our Marvel’s Midnight Suns Magik Legendary Challenge guide to help you complete Demon Child for the Darkchylde ability.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Magik Legendary Challenge guide – Darkchylde Legendary Card

The goal of the Magik Legendary Challenge in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is to acquire the Darkchylde ability to survive relentless attacks from hostiles after your turn. The card itself is held by one enemy in the center of the arena, which means you’ll need to use the skills that are at your disposal. You can refer to the image and outline below:

    1. Use Trap Door to move the main target to your right, then Kick it toward the green leyline. Apart from the damage due to the explosion, the mob will also be afflicted with Vulnerable.
    1. Cast Limbo’s Grasp, then create a Limbo’s Portal pointing toward the red leyline. Use Quick Soulslash to push the mob there.
    1. This will depend on the target’s positioning after the explosion. You can use Trap Door to respawn it in front of one of the other enemies (i.e., the leftmost mob). Follow up with Soul Blast so that it hits its buddy and dies. Alternatively, you can use Soul Blast if the angle is correct, then Trap Door for the last sliver of health.

Once your opponent is dead, you’ll receive the Darkchylde Legendary Card for Magik. Cast it and end your turn. The remaining foes will attack you, but they won’t even harm your character. That’s because the ability provides the following boons when upgraded: Gain +1 Invulnerable and +1 Counter; Taunt all enemies; Exhaust.

Essentially, this card turns Magik into a tank. For one turn, every enemy will attack her, but she won’t take damage at all, and she could even counter their hits. It can be a lifesaver at higher difficulties when enemy damage can punish you if you’re not careful.
