Marvel vs. Capcom 4 will be revealed at Sony’s PlayStation Experience event this weekend, reports Polygon, collaborated by Eurogamer.
The game is said to be launching next year.
Polygon sources state the popular fighting game series will return without its iconic X-Men characters, instead tapping into the ever-expanding Marvel cinematic universe. This means you won’t see Sentinel, Magneto or Cyclops, but will likely find the likes of Groot, Dr Strange and Thor, amongst many others.
Capcom has been working closely with Sony on previous fighting games, and the reveal at PlayStation Experience could indicate another exclusive relationship for MvC4 – though this didn’t work out all that well for Street Fighter 5.
