With the epic Sci-Fi RPG Mass Effect 2 only a little less than two months from release, Bioware has released new media to hype what could be one of the best titles for the Xbox 360 and PC in 2010.

In the first video, Lead Gameplay Designer Christina Norman describes how the biotic powers of the Adept character class have been improved in the sequel. One major change is that Adepts may now use their powers around corners to attack enemies. Adepts also appear to have better “crowd-control” powers and can more effectively combine two powers on one enemy.

Check out the video of this and of returning character Tali after the jump.

As you can see, the physics engine in Mass Effect 2 appears to much improved over that of the original title and the combat much more refined.

The second video clip shows Tali, Shepard’s Quarian ally from the first Mass Effect, in action. The video teases that, despite Tali’s assistance to defeat Saren and the Geth, the Quarian people are not too pleased with her.

If the new combat system works as advertised, Bioware looks to have another big hit on their hands. I for one cannot wait to play this game.

What do you think of the videos and will you be picking up Mass Effect 2?

Mass Effect 2 releases on January 26, 2010 for both the Xbox 360 and PC.
