The first gameplay footage from Mass Effect Andromeda was revealed during last night’s PlayStation Meeting, at which PS4 Pro was also announced.
You can see the gameplay below, running on PS4 Pro, though BioWare suggests the game isn’t actually rendering at true 4K.
“The power of PS4 Pro allows us to bring a new galaxy to life with crisper visuals, high-dynamic range lighting, and the most lifelike characters we’ve ever created,” explains BioWare.
“With these technological advancements and HDR10 support, we’re preparing to deliver a truly immersive Mass Effect experience for our players.”
Actual 4K appears to be reserved for PC gamers, which will also benefit from Dolby Vision, a form of HDR.
Look out for more on Andromeda on November 7.
Mass Effect Andromeda will release early in 2017 for PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and PC.
