MercurySteam has announced its next game, Raiders of the Broken Planet.
Due for release later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Raiders of the Broken Planet is described by the developer as an “epic multiplayer online asymmetric adventure” that lets players team up with others to battle invaders, or work with the invaders to fight against other players.
The game’s story will be delivered digitally via a series of episodes, the developer says, “with each part selling at an extremely low and attractive price point”.
“With its distinctive blend of shooting, brawling and thinking man’s strategy, Raiders of the Broken Planet is a mouth watering proposition to gamers looking for an immersive, cinematic story coupled with intense and epic action,” MercurySteam says.
To give it a go ahead of release, players can sign up for a closed PC beta over on the developer’s website. Multiple betas are planned, the developer adds.
MercurySteam previously developed the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series for Konami, which it says has shipped “multiple millions of copies worldwide”.
