Metal Gear Online, the dedicated, squad-based multiplayer game for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, is now available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, Konami has announced. The PC version remains on track to launch in January.
Once you’ve updated your version of The Phantom Pain with the newly released update Metal Gear Online will be launchable from the game’s main menu.
Metal Gear Online introduces Tactical Team Operations and features a ‘class system’ designed to define the strengths and abilities of player characters on the battlefield.
It’s also worth pointing out that gamers who stumped up the cash for The Phantom Pain Collector’s Edition can now redeem the bonus content, granting access to the gold WU S, Pistol and AM MRS-4 weapons, an XP Boost and a Metal Gear Rex Helmet. Day One edition owners can also access their XP Boost content.
