Metro Exodus is already a gorgeous game, but what if it made use of the latest hardware? The result is Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, which was revealed this past February. The game previously had a release window on PCs for this Spring, but now we have a more specific date. Users on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GoG will be able to download Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition on May 6. However, not everyone will be able to run the game. 4A Games has released a requirements list for Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, and regardless of quality settings, they’re all somewhat demanding.

Here are the various requirements listed for Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition:

Minimum

  • Average performance: 1080P, 45 fps
  • Visual Quality Settings: Normal
  • Ray tracing quality settings: Normal
  • CPU Cores: 4 Cores, hyperthreading necessary
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060

Despite the requirements listed for Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition being so demanding, there is some wiggle room in there. 4A games collected these values with Shading Rate 1 and DLSS off. Changing the game’s shading rate and activating DLSS could potentially lead to better performance on lower-end cards, so even if you don’t have an RTX 3090, you may be able to play at 4K, 60 fps.
