505 Games and The Bearded Ladies have announced Miasma Chronicles, a new tactical action game aiming to launch next year.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic America, torn apart by a mysterious force known as Miasma. Luckily, our main character Elvis has a glove that happens to be able to control the Miasma. Handy that. He was left in the care of a robotic older ‘brother’ named Diggs as a baby, and now he wants answers.

So begins the quest of the two brothers, whom you’ll join on their journey across the wasteland. You’ll do so in real-time exploration gameplay crossed with tactical-turn based combat. The team behind the game also made 2018’s Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, meaning they’ve got some experience in the genre.

The aforementioned combat includes upgradable weapons and abilities. There’ll be rich, beautiful environments to explore with outlandish characters to meet. Along the way, expect an involving fantasy story and a “beautifully crafted” tactical adventure. You can check some of this out in the teaser trailer embedded below.

Expect more on the game in the coming months. Miasma Chronicles is currently expecting to launch in 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
