Microsoft HoloLens, the augmented reality tech which is Microsoft’s answer to virtual reality, will launch a Developer Edition in Q1 2016 with the eye-watering price tag of $3,000.
The price makes HoloLens twice as expensive as Google’s now closed Google Glass developer program.
Exact specs of the device are still to be determined, but Microsoft noted that it won’t differ too much from earlier demonstration units which featured an x86 processor, 2GB RAM, 802.11ac, and a 60Hz refresh rate.
