A future update to Windows 10 and Xbox One could allow PC games to be streamed to the console, head of Xbox Phil Spencer has told The Verge.

With the launch of Windows 10 today, Xbox One users are able to stream games to Windows 10 devices, and there’s a good chance that at some point in the future the reverse will also possible.

“We understand if you’re going to go PC to Xbox, we need to get keyboard and mouse working completely so you could play those games,” explains Spencer. “In terms of where we want to go with our platform, those are absolutely in scope of things that we want to do.”

Spencer says PC to Xbox is a little more challenging from a technical perspective because not all PCs are equal.

“It’s actually a little more challenging doing the encoding on the PC side to the Xbox, but challenge is good,” he said.

So who knows, by spring 2016 perhaps Xbox One gamers will be able to get Street Fighter 6 on their system after all.
